Glen Manchester, Founder and Chief Executive Officer
Glen Manchester founded Thunderhead in 2001, bringing together a team of experienced professionals to build an entirely new product for enterprise communications. Since launch in 2003, Thunderhead has established itself as the market leader.
Glen leads the day-to-day operations of Thunderhead and is focused on building a global organization with fresh, innovative products and a passionate commitment to its clients. Prior to founding Thunderhead, Glen was CEO of Xenos Inc, a publicly-held, North American software company. In 2004, he was named Business Person of the Year at the London Business Awards.
A well-known figure in the global document generation marketplace, Glen has a successful track record as an entrepreneur. He founded Geneva Digital in 1990, an organization that was subsequently acquired by Xenos.
Carolyn Bresh, Chief Financial Officer
Carolyn Bresh heads up Financial Operation and Human Resources. She joined Thunderhead from Reuters Group plc where she held finance roles for 11 years, most recently as deputy to the Chief Financial Officer.
Her 20 years of experience span operational finance, commercial and technical accounting roles. After qualifying at PricewaterhouseCoopers, she moved to Blenheim Exhibitions plc where she worked during a period of multiple acquisitions.
Martin Davey, Chief Technical Officer
A founding member of the Thunderhead team, Martin Davey has more than 20 years of IT experience. With responsibility for Thunderhead’s software development organization, Martin leads a talented team of developers focused on producing innovative, market leading solutions.
After spending his early career in IT leadership roles at Aetna Life and Equitable Life, Martin moved to commercial software development, originally working for INSCI (now ClearStory Systems), before moving to Xenos Inc, where he was responsible for leading the UK development team.
Christopher McLaughlin, Chief Marketing Officer
Chris McLaughlin is responsible for global marketing strategy and operations. Charged with the development and promotion of Thunderhead’s products and corporate brand, Chris is also responsible for strategic relationships with key technology partners and industry organizations worldwide.
Before joining Thunderhead, Chris was Vice President of Product Marketing at FileNet Corporation, a publicly held software company and a leader in the ECM market. His previous roles include Global Practice Director for Content Management Solutions at Inforte, a strategic consultancy and systems integrator.
Mark Hughes, SVP of Global Sales
Operations
Mark Hughes directs Thunderhead’s worldwide sales operations and oversees a global team of sales professionals. He has over 15 years of executive leadership experience in international high-tech sales, marketing and consultancy.
Mark joined Thunderhead from software company Watchfire, where he was Vice President of European Sales Operations. Previously Vice President of EMEA at Broadvision, he has also held management positions at Oracle Corporation, Pyramid Technology and Digital Equipment.
Marc Plant, SVP of Global Service Operations
Marc Plant has worldwide responsibility for customer service, professional services, technical operations and customer learning. A founding member of the Thunderhead team, he has more than 20 years of experience working in the commercial software industry as well as in the finance and insurance sectors.
Marc formerly served as Worldwide Development Manager at Xenos Inc. and has also held senior positions at both INSCI (now ClearStory Systems) and Aetna.
Paul
Milton BA Solicitor, General Counsel
Director of the company and Executive Vice President Legal Affairs for Thunderhead’s U.S. operations, Paul Milton has overall responsibility for Thunderhead’s legal affairs. A founding member of the Thunderhead team, he has more than 20 years of experience in the IT industry working for some of the world’s largest software organizations, both as an in-house lawyer and external legal adviser.
Ranked as an expert in the field of information technology in the UK Legal Experts Guide, Paul is dedicated to all aspects of intellectual property and information technology law in relation to the computer industry.
