Thunderhead Awarded IBM Independent Software Vendor (ISV) Partner of the Year
Fast-growing company recognized for its innovative document automation technology, strong sales engagement with IBM
Irvine, CA - 23 February, 2009
Thunderhead, recognized innovators in document automation and multi-channel communications solutions, today announced IBM's enterprise content management (ECM) software group named Thunderhead its 2008 ISV Partner of the Year. A key IBM business partner, Thunderhead offers technology complementary to IBM's ECM software. Thunderhead was recognized for its superior sales success and solution development, as well as its easy integration with various IBM ECM technologies.
Thunderhead's business-user-centric platform is entirely based on open standards and enables organizations to generate highly personalized, multi-channel customer communications. In three short years of partnership with IBM, Thunderhead has deployed its NOW platform, in full integration with IBM ECM technologies, for more than 20 customers worldwide, including Alliance & Leicester, ANZ, the Australian Department of Immigration, Farmers Insurance and the State of Indiana.
Together, Thunderhead and IBM enable organizations to better communicate with customers, improving customer service and satisfaction, while streamlining internal processes, reducing costs and risk. Thunderhead and IBM technologies easily combine to deliver high-value solutions for a broad range of industries, including financial services, insurance, healthcare and government. These joint applications include such strategic solutions as policy issuance, claims correspondence management, derivative trade confirmation, credit card servicing, loan origination and servicing, and unemployment benefits management.
"We are both delighted and honored that IBM named us its ISV Partner of the Year," said Glen Manchester, CEO of Thunderhead. "This award illustrates the vital role our joint solutions play in the financial services, insurance, healthcare and government industries. It also acknowledges our team and the outstanding work they have done in building a productive and mutually beneficial relationship with IBM."
This prestigious IBM award comes on the heels of another year of record revenue for Thunderhead. Despite tough economic conditions, Thunderhead experienced outstanding growth in 2008, accomplishing a 30 percent increase in revenue. Notably, the company saw a significant increase in its North American operations, as Thunderhead continued to build on its success in this new geography and secure strategic wins against more established US competitors.
The year 2008 also brought numerous industry accolades for Thunderhead's pace-setting growth, including the top position in Deloitte Technology's Fast 500 for EMEA and a top 10 ranking for revenue growth in Software Magazine's Software 500.
Manchester commented, "We are extremely pleased by our performance in 2008. Our strong growth and profitability in a tough economy is a testament to the value that our software delivers. Our technology delivers rapid and substantial ROI and we will continue to focus on delivering innovative, new capabilities to help our clients reduce costs and operational risk, while improving the way they communicate and engage with their customers."
Thunderhead continues to be privately held, with no outside investment, and has operated profitably since first bringing its product to market in late 2003.
