Thunderhead Grows Nearly 300% in US Market During First Half of 2008
Enterprise communications solution provider experiences record growth and appoints North American executive for Professional Services
London, UK - September 9, 2008
Thunderhead, recognized innovators in document automation and multi-channel communications solutions, today announced record growth in the US market over the first half of 2008. In spite of current economic conditions, the company signed a significant number of new customers in the financial services and insurance markets in the first half of 2008. As a result, Thunderhead’s US operations grew by nearly 300% over revenues for the same period in 2007. Additionally, in the first half of this year, US operations accounted for over 40% of total company revenues and contributed significantly to the company’s continued profitability.
Thunderhead’s commitment to the US market, combined with a superior product, has enabled the company to consistently win against more established competitors and capitalize on a rapidly growing market. This has resulted in significant wins at several leading US retail banks, insurance and healthcare companies and Thunderhead now counts nine of the top 10 global investment banks as customers as well. In addition to replacing numerous in-house-developed systems, the company has also successfully converted a considerable number of its customers off of competitive document generation solutions. Notably, Thunderhead itself maintains a 100% customer retention rate and has never lost a customer.
“Our Thunderhead NOW solution helps businesses improve customer engagement and loyalty through more personalized, contextual communications,” said Thunderhead CEO, Glen Manchester. “Our record revenue growth and segment-leading customer retention are testament to the value that we provide. Not only are our customers realizing significant cost savings from our technology and reducing operational risk, they are also improving customer satisfaction and retention – two critical business imperatives in the highly competitive US financial services market.”
As a result of its record growth in the US, Thunderhead has continued to expand its US sales force, support staff and professional services organization. The company is also pleased to announce the addition of Lisa O’Reilly as Senior Vice President of Services for North America. Formerly a senior member of EMC Document Sciences, O’Reilly’s 15 years of experience in implementing document generation solutions will be integral to Thunderhead’s continued growth in the US. O’Reilly will focus on continuing to build out Thunderhead’s US professional services operation and will bring experienced leadership in enterprise deployments and large-scale legacy system conversions.
