Thunderhead is named Enterprise Software Product of the Year finalist for the CNET Networks UK Awards

London, UK. Monday 10th July, 2006.

Thunderhead today announced that the Thunderhead Document Generation Platform has been short listed in the Enterprise Software Product of the Year category at the 2006 CNET Networks UK Awards. The awards winners will be announced at the annual CNET Networks UK Technology Awards ceremony and dinner at the London Hilton on Park Lane on September 26th.

The CNET Networks UK Awards recognize innovation, application and excellence in technology and business, and have become one of the most sought after industry accolades. The finalists are selected by an esteemed council of judges comprising senior practitioners and experts from the technology industry and media. The Enterprise Software Product of the Year award recognizes companies who have delivered a smart, innovative software solution that enabled businesses to manage risk, increase productivity or gain other business advantages.

The Thunderhead Document Generation Platform enables industry-leading organizations, such as Morgan Stanley and ING Direct, to bring greater automation and control to their business communications processes, thereby reducing the cost, risk, and time associated with creating and maintaining both batch transactional documentation and ad hoc correspondence.  Thunderhead delivers this document generation functionality via a single, open standards-based platform that has been developed to scale to the needs of today’s largest enterprises.

Uniquely, the Thunderhead platform has been specifically designed to allow business users, rather than IT specialists, to take control of the production of critical business documents such as insurance policies, personal loan agreements, mortgage offers, and even complex credit derivative trade confirmations.

"High-volume, transactional communications present challenges for large enterprises across a wide range of industries,” said Glen Manchester, CEO of Thunderhead.  “This is fueling a rapidly growing need for enterprise communications platforms that will enable our customers to manage virtually all of their customer and partner communications on an enterprise scale.  We are particularly delighted to be recognized by CNET as a leading enterprise software product and believe that this supports both our longer-term vision for our market and the investment we have made in making Thunderhead a true enterprise-capable software platform.”
