Software 500
Software Magazine ranks Thunderhead as one of the world’s largest software companies
London, UK – October 31, 2007 – Thunderhead, the enterprise communications company, has announced its inclusion on the Software Magazine’s Software 500 ranking of the world’s largest software and service providers, now in its 25th year.
Thunderhead’s growth in software and services revenue was fastest in its market category and 15th fastest in the Software 500, elevating its overall revenue ranking to 365, up from 410 in 2006.
“The 2007 Software 500 results show that growth in the software and services industry was healthy from 2006 to 2007, the ranking year. The industry continues to be dynamic with more than 98 new companies on the list this year for the first time,” says John P. Desmond, editor of Software Magazine and Softwaremag.com. “The top four business sectors this year are system integration services/IT consulting, application development, financial applications and security tools/systems.”
“The Software 500 helps CIOs, senior IT managers and IT staff research create the short list of business partners,” Desmond says. “It is a quick reference of vendor viability. That is content of value.”
“Thunderhead is continuing a trend of growth and market leadership that is noticeably faster then its competitors,” commented Glen Manchester, CEO of Thunderhead. “For two years running, we have been the fastest-growing company in our category with annual growth of around 100%.”
“I see this year-on-year expansion as being further validation by our customers and the market of our value proposition and technology. But we are not taking anything for granted. We are continuing to invest in our technology, and, following up on the recent launch of the Thunderhead NOW platform, we will be introducing more innovations to ensure that we continue to best meet our customers’ expectations, while remaining at the forefront of the industry.”
